#1: You must keep to your own energy by doing the Authentic Self Meditation

As an empath it’s easy for us to get lost within the feelings and thoughts of other people. So much so that we forget to just spend time with ourselves and remember our own energy. An Empath is hyperaware and hypersensitive to everything within his or her environment so it’s important to spend time in nature and to just be with ourselves and the natural energy of nature. If we don’t then we risk getting lost inside everyone and everything else.

#2: Spend time with friends and family who remind you of who you truly are.

There are two types of people to the empath. Those people who take us away from ourselves and people who help us understand who we truly are. We need to hang around and be with people who remind us of who we truly are and why we are doing what we are doing. Sometimes we can easily get caught up in the world. Life demands our attention. We need to spend our time around people who bring down the same energy as us.

#3: Eat healthy foods that give energy and don’t take it away from us.

Cooked foods take energy from us. When you cook food you cook all the enzymes out. Enzymes help our stomach to digest food which requires our body to give up less energy. We spend so much energy in digestion. There are foods out there that take more then they give. Grains and dairy products tend to slow our bodies down because they take so much energy to digest. What you want is high pranic foods full of life and energy. Fruits, veggies, nuts. My diet mostly consists of fruits, veggies, nuts……. And chocolate. I love chocolate!

#4: Drink and apply sage.

As empaths we tend to be magnets to energy that is dense. Sage is an automatic cleanser. Take regular baths, such as the shamans bath, which is made up of ½ a cup of Epsom salts, ½ a cup of baking soda, and about 10 drops of Clary Sage. This will keep your energy clean and clear but also is effective after a long day at work.

#5: Speak your truth!

This is the most important. Many of us empaths grew up in homes where we had to shut ourselves up. We were afraid to speak up for our needs because we had parents who were focusing on other things that were more important. We subconsciously learned that our needs aren’t important. We then go on to place other people’s needs as more important than our own. Speak your truth in all present situations and watch life form around you.

Deepest Blessings and Pranamams!
